Back Track

So I know I have been a bad blogger when I get an e-mail from my daughter telling me I need to update my blog.  I know- I know... The last month is a blur.  Everything seemed to land in my lap all at the same time... preparing for inventory at work-the Mad Hatter Tea Party-a couple of online swaps-the actual inventory- the Fourth of July holiday-a business trip to Atlanta-a new online class-and in the midst of it all life throws a curve ball-My uncle passed away.  And reality hits!-Life is short so make the most of each day!  My parents came to visit following the funeral and I although I wish I had been able to spend more time with them during their visit-It was nice having them here.  So there you have it-the cliff notes version of the past month.  I had Sunday and Monday off this week and pretty much hibernated-cleaned out closets, played catch up on the laundry and sketched my homework for week one's lessons for Miss Suzi Blu's Goddess & Poet Workshop.

I have not forgotten the drawing for the favor bags for the Mad Hatter Tea Party-I was awaiting something I wanted to include that I had ordered-which has arrived so I think I will do the drawing on the 26th which will be one month from the day the tea party took place. So anyone who left a comment on the TeaParty post will be eligible.

I rushed out today to purchase this...

Can't wait to watch it-I have not seen it yet!

and i leave you with a slideshow of my homework sketches-one of them I played around with in Photoshop -I think I want to do more of that even though it is not part of the class:)

My sympathies regarding your Uncle, good juju and light to you and your family.
Your sketches are cool-I'm crushing on one of the guys LOL. I am intrigued by a goddess and poet workshop..hmm...i do like to write poetry, and I *am* a ...well.. hah.
Glad to see you back! I started checking in and you werent here and i was bummed, because you rocked it sideways at mad hatter. :)

Thanks for the nice comments on my sketches-Anita & Rhonda you both should join the class-Suzi is an amazing teacher!! Can't say enough about her teaching videos they are so fabulous!

Rhonda-I hope to get to watch Coraline tomorrow-I have been working all weekend-That is why it is difficult for me to post as often as I would like!
